Anchor Chain Quick Release Shackle

The SnubberBuddy Anchor Chain Quick Release Shackle is designed to allow anchor chain snubbers to be released without the need to first bring the chain up to remove the chain hook or shackle by hand.

The shackle securely clips around the chain via the spring loaded gate. Once the shackle is clipped on the chain it can be paid out without having to maintain tension on the snubber line. When the snubber needs to be released the chain does not need to be brought up. Simply pull the release line and the snubber will detach.

The release line can be operated from the bow or if it is run all the way aft, from the cockpit. This can be very advantageous in stressful situations such as storms or a sudden increase in wind where you need to bring up the anchor or lay out more chain as quickly as possible, without leaving the cockpit.
